Wasai Tambopata Lodge & Research Center

This Amazon lodge is a destination by itself, located at 3.5 hours by outboard boat from Puerto Maldonado, very close to the main attractions of the Upper Tambopata River, the Big Macaw's Clay Lick, where hundreds of macaws and parrots gather every day to eat clay. Thanks to its privileged location, Wasai Tambopata Lodge offers tourists more chances to see wild animals in its tours than in any other area. Wasai also offers the best place for fishing Payara.
