Day 1 : Sandoval Lake
You will be met at the airport for one of our staff member. Upon arrival at our hotel you will receive a welcome fruit juice and our staff will accommodate you in your rooms. After a short break you will receive a brief explanation of the tour and important tips before departure. Then, we will start the journey to the Sandoval Lake. The Trip will be by outboard boat for around 35 minutes, until the access trail to the Lake. During the river trip you will have the opportunity to observe the life style of local people who live at the riverbank.

During the way, we will observe the great diversity of species of flora in this zone and maybe a troop of monkeys or other animals which live in the Reserve. There we will board a canoe to paddle around the lake enjoying the beauty of the landscape and observing the wildlife, such as kingfishers, herons, hoatzin (unique prehistoric looking birds), cormorant's monkeys, etc. If we are lucky enough, we could see the family of giant river otters which live there. Lunch will be in typical local lodge. After lunch we will have the opportunity to have a relax time or swim in the lake. Later on, a lot of noisy parrots and macaws arrive to palm trees around the lake to theirs nets to pass the night. At that time, we will return to the Madre de Dios River to our lodge in Puerto Maldonado. Prepare yourself for an spectacular sunset. With the sunset we will search for caimans.

Upon arrival you will have time for a break before dinner time and later on you can enjoy our facilities like the swimming pool.

Day 2 : Puerto Maldonado
After breakfast you will be transfer to the airport depending your departure flight.
