During 11 days you will visit the main attractions of Peru. You will spend 3 days in contact with the great biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest, enjoying the paradisiacal landscapes. After that, you will spend 3 days in the amazing land of the incas, visiting the main arqueological sites like the Sacred Valley and one of the wonders of the world "Macchu Picchu". At the end, you will visit the amazing island of Uros and Taquile in the paradisiacal Titicaca lake.

Tour Detail

Day 1 : LIMA
Reception in the Lima airport and transfer to the Hotel in Miraflores, Lima .Depending on the arrival time of your international flight we will have the possibility of an optional visit to the gold museum (not included in the rate)

PUERTO MALDONADODay 2 : PUERTO MALDONADO
Transfer to the airport where we'll take the flight to Puerto Maldonado, (airfare included) upon arrival from Lima, greeting at the airport and transfer to the WASAI Maldonado Lodge, where you will receive a welcoming tropical fruit beverage. You will embark for a 3 to 4 1/2 hour motorboat trip up the Tambopata river to WASAI Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (box lunch on route). During the trip we will be able to observe the local farms, while groups of birds pass over the boat. Opportunity to see families of Ronsocos, the largest rodents in the world. Reception, accommodation at the lodge, and lunch. After a short rest we will have a brief introductory walk in the forest nearby to learn basic principles of ecology and hear some wildlife natural history . Return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner we will make our first visit to the forest to observe the nocturnal life of insects, frogs, and nocturnal mammals. We will enjoy the diverse sounds of the jungle which will accompany our first night in the Amazon Rainforest. night at the lodge. (L,D)


Los guacamayos de Tambopata "La Collpa"Day 3 : Macaw clay lick "Collpa"

We will wake up early in the morning (4 am) after a cup of coffee or any other hot drink , we will start a trip to the Macaw's clay lick throught the Tambopata river (or "Bahuaja" in the local dialect) for an hour and a half, to observe from a safe distance one of the greatest spectacles of wildlife: hundreds of parrots and macaws of various species, enjoying their diet of mineral salts on the clay wall. This will be an unforgetable experience. We will make a stop on the river bank to have a fruit snack and we will return to the lodge to have breakfast and rest. After lunch we will enter the verdant jungle on a special trail to observe wild life. We will then enter the territory of peccaries, deer, and others, with the possibility to hear or see the tracks of them, or discovering a troop of monkeys travelling through the forest searching for food. Time permitting, we will be able to return for enjoying a relaxing swim in the Gato river. After dinner we can make another trip through the jungle, search for caimans or relax in our lodge enjoying the exotic nocturnal sounds. (B,L,D)

Day 4 : Sandoval Lake
After breakfast we will make a trip on boat to the WASAI Maldonado eco Lodge, in Puerto Maldonado where we will relax in our bungalows and enjoy a tasty lunch. After lunch we will leave and travel for twenty minutes through the Madre de Dios River, to the access trail to Sandoval lake, a beautiful typical rainforest lake. 3 km hike to the banks of the lake. There we will board a canoe to paddle around the lake enjoying the beauty of the landscapes and observing the wildlife, such as kingfishers, herons, hoatzins (unique pre historic looking birds) , monkeys, etc. If we are lucky we could see the family of giant otters which live at the lake. We will have the opportunity to see piranhas and swim in the lake. Prepare yourself for a spectacular sunset. It is time to begin our return hike to the Madre de Dios River to Puerto Maldonado. There we will stay in the modern and comfortable bungalows of WASAI Maldonado Lodge. After dinner we will be able to rest or go around the city on foot or on bicycle. We can enjoy the pool and its cascade surounded by verdant vegetation. Rest of the night free to enjoy the night life of this welcoming city. (B, L, D)

Puerto Maldonado - CuscoDay 5 : Puerto Maldonado Cusco - City Tour
After an early breakfast we will return to Puerto Maldonado for our flight to Cusco ( airfare included ), upon arrival, reception and transfer to your selected Hotel we will start a city tour. This tour includes the main sites of historical interest in Cuzco, such as the famous Sacsahuaman Fortress, and the Temple of the Sun.. A tourist card that allowed you to enter any place in the Cusco city is included, (i.e., including outside of the City itself) This tour finishes at 18:00.( B )


Tour al Valle Sagrado Day 6 : SACRED VALLEY TOUR
The Sacred Valley tour includes: Bus service to the market of Pisaq, visits to Calca, Urubamba, the ruins of Ollantaytambo, and the market at Chinchero. An English speaking guide will guide you. You will have lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba. Of course, throughout this trip you will have magnificent views of the high Peruvian Andes. At 18:39 you arrive back at the Orquidea Real.( B,L )

 

Machu PicchuDay 7 : Machu Picchu
At 05:45 you will leave for a trip by train to Machu Picchu. Arround 9:30 you will arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station, from where you will take a 15 minute bus ride to the Machupicchu ruins. Once there, you will have am English guided tour. We will start the return trip arround 15:00 to arrive at Cusco city at 18:25. (B, Box lunch)

 

PUNODay 8 : PUNO
Transfer to the train or bus station. Ten hour train or bus ride to Puno , across the scenic high Andes landscapes only dotted by small villages and herds of the llamas and vicunas. Upon arrival transfer to hostal Pukaraor Don Miguel (B)


 

Islas Flotantes de los Uros e Isla Taquile Day 9 : UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS
You will be picked up from your hotel 7,30 AM, after 2 hours motorboat you will arrive at the Uros island, in the Titikaka lake . Fishermen and hunters inhabit the floating islands of Uros. The residents of the Uros use the cattail, a type of rush, which grows in the lake, to create the conditions that ensure the islands stay afloat. The dense roots that the plants develop support the island.The roofs are waterproof and the houses are extremely humid because of the surrounding water. These days native people still speaks Quechua and Aymara. Then we will visit the Taquile island , including lunch in the co-operative restaurant, there is also a co-operative shop on the plaza that sells exceptional woollen goods which are not cheap but of very fine quality. Taquile Island is famous for its craft production, particularly for its beautiful textiles. The island is narrow only about 1 KM wide , but 6 to 7 KM long, on Taquile there are numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins and Inca terracing . We will return to Puno in the afternoon, overnight.at the hotel(B)

In the afternoon transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima, ( airfare included ) upon arrival reception and transfer to the Hotel Santa Cruz, Miraflores Lima, overnight ( B )


Day 11 TRANSFER OUT
Transfer to the airport and end of the services (B)
